Visual Programming with Scratch
About
In this session we will learn about Visual Programming with Scratch. Visual Programming is a way of writing code graphically, rather than with text. Scratch is a Visual Programming language that can be used to create interactive stories, animations and games.
We recommend you start with the Introduction to Scratch tutorial before completing the Making Cookie Bird tutorial, both of which are linked below.
Extra Activities
If you complete the two main tutorials before the session finishes, you may like to explore some of the materials provided by Code Club and on Google’s CS First website.
Code Club Australia have also created a website that maps how Code Club resources align with the Australian Curriculum - Digital Technologies content descriptors, with a focus on the Stages 2 and 3 content descriptors.
